The newborn session is a session that moves a little slower. It's a session where you just get to be wrapped up in loving on your new little babe and let me take care of the rest! The postpartum stage can be tough (getting up endless times a night is no joke!), but I want our time together to be a time where you feel nurtured and supported. These sessions are never rushed and we are led by your baby, with a few tips from me along the way. It is such an honour to be invited into your life in this vulnerable time and together, we will create lasting memories of this fleeting time.

General Information

If you are after sleepy newborn photos, I recommend booking these sessions for when your baby is around 2 - 6 weeks old as they are still mostly sleepy little things which makes it easy to get a variety of poses - sleepy, feeding, cuddles and everything in between! Each session includes a variety of family images, individuals and, if this isn't your first rodeo, sibling shots. But after 6 weeks can be just as beautiful with more personality, longer awake times and even smiles!

These sessions run for a bit longer than a usual family session, around 1.5- 2 hours. I find taking our time allows for feeding and settling as often as needed and helps keep the session calm.

These sessions are generally done from the comfort of your own home, but in summer there is the option to get outdoors if that is something you wanted to explore.

I have a variety of beautiful client closet options for newborns, that you are welcome to take advantage of. Lots of stunning, textured knits and super cute rompers! 

I will also bring a variety of wraps to your session to bundle up your babe, but feel free to use any that are special to you.
